That’s certainly a of it. Like just about every legacy clothing brand, VS has seen an appreciable drop in market share. There a lot of reasons for that but I don’t think any of them have to do with their brand aesthetic. Instead, it really has more to do with Amazon. Amazon is destroying the retail world and VS/Limited Brands isn’t immune.
Also, Lex Wexner - Chairman Emeritus of VS parent company L Brands (formerly Limited Brands) is up to his eyeballs in Jeffrey Espstein problems. The corporation likely believes that appealing to the WOKEtards buys them some goodwill in the media. They’re probably not wrong.
Will all this improve sales? Nope. I predict they’ll be bankrupt in less than 5-years.
