Jill ought to be ashamed of herself
Indeed. My B-I-L, a magnificent Guitar Player, has been struggling with Early Onset Alzheimers for at least 10 years. For a long time after the onset of his illness, he could still play guitar and played lead guitar as my sister (his wife and full-time caretaker) played rhythm guitar and sang. For a few months before the lockdown, we noticed that he was no longer able to function as the lead guitarist, as he was making embarrassing mistakes. My sister immediately went solo, because she did not want him to be humiliated in public. He goes to the gigs, and has a beer while enjoying her performance. There will come a time, however, when that will no longer be feasible. Sis knows it, and is prepared to give up gigging when the time comes. THAT is how a true loving wife would handle it.
My Sis does not have a PhD or any other degree. She barely graduated from High School because of the debacle of forced Bussing in Boston. Yet she is a better person than "Dr." Jill.

Absolutely!
NO ONE I care about will ever go through that kind of thing, while I’M around!
Shame on her!

Your sister is an example of the best part of marriage. In sickness as in health is in those vows for a reason. There is a special place in heaven for a woman like her, hopefully at the side of a fully recovered husband.
