That cuisinart is the one I have. It’s very functional, but like I said - a bitch to keep clean.

A good "cure" for those puketube commercials is to hit "reload" the instant they come on.

I use a browser addon called youtube enhancer and it always gives me a Skip Ad button but on Pj-Comix's video, it simply had no ad.

My nephew bought one, said the food was good but it was the devil to pay when it came time to clean.

Enjoyed the video! I recently bought a Foodi Ninja.
Just love it! Cooked the best ribeye steak I have ever cooked!
It has several functions, broil, air fry, bake. Also has another lid that allows for pressure cooking and fast thawing. It is large and has room for several levels of food.
With an accessory 5 tier shelf, I can dehydrate things.
Haven’t used my oven since I bought it.
Today, in one, 20 minute span, I cooked 25 halves of Jalapeno poppers. Then, baked to large squash that were cut thick.
God bless America!

Dave’s rub, is that made by the same company as Dave’s Insanity sauces?

Yuk. It makes food taste like the inside of a stereo amplifier. I tossed mine.

"My other beef is it’s a bitch to keep clean."

You should check out T-Fal's EZ Clean Deep Fryer. I bought an older model years ago, and loved it. Haven't used it in a long time. The heating unit was removable from the bottom, and you could put all the parts in the dishwasher. It even came with a plastic container and cover, which had a filter on it to clean the oil, so all you had to do was set the part that held the oil on top of it, and the oil would drip through the filter, into the container. Put the lid on, and stick it in the fridge if you wanted. Here's a link to their newer model:

I've looked at that one. I used to have one of those delonghi roto-fryers. It used less oil and was sort of small, but very easy to clean.

I use my air fryer at least several times a week. Made hash browns this morning with only a tablespoon of oil. Had salmon filets yesterday that were amazing with just basic salt, pepper and Old Bay and a spritz of olive oil. I even make Indian dishes like Bombay Potatoes and chicken tikka kabobs in my air fryer. Next to my pressure cooker this is the best kitchen applianceI own.

“outside on the weber”

There’s nothing like grease spatter all over the stove, countertop, floor, and walls to make the meal enjoyable.

I did a quick search and found a bunch of those gadgets. Here's one that looks good and only $20. Description says "Enjoy your favorites with less fat with this crisper tray from Gotham Steel, designed to bake instead of fry. Its non-stick coating makes cleanup easy."

Smoker here too. Did two spatchcocked chicken, a bone in pork sirloin roast and an eye of round roast for slicing thin for sandwiches. I ran it a little hot with bigger flame than usual so it didn't give anything a heavy smoke flavor. Chicken skin is rubbery and useless and I can't be bothered trying to grill it after smoking. Our only grill is also wood fired. As is our only heat via wood stove. We live an oak/hickory forest so it works. There's also wild fruit trees, plum and cherry.

Something thing I use a lot is the instant pot. Boiled eggs, rice, both a one button operation. Pressure cook meat and dry beans. Steam fresh frozen veggies.

We love our small kitchen appliances. Got the usual microwave, toaster oven, a meat slicer, deep fryer and an Oster Kitchen Center from the 70s/80s with just about every attachment available. Blender, mixer with kneading hooks, food slicer with 8-10 blades, meat grinder, ice cream maker. Collected at various thrift stores in FL after the new Kitchenaids came out and everyone upgraded. I've got extra motor bases and attachments too. I grabbed all OKC stuff I could find.

Wife's been mentioning wanting an air fryer. Will have to get one soon because like others, I'm getting sick of the deep fryer. Real pita when you've got something that's been in the freezer for a while and has ice on it. Had a couple of overflows.

I want to make more outdoor cooking stuff too. Wood fired pizza/bread oven.(we have clay) Rocket stove for the pressure canner. I've got thousands of trees to cut down and make pasture. Gotta do something with it.

My smoker made from three water heaters.

Wow! That’s an awesome piece of ingenuity there. Kudos! All I have is a little masterbuilt that works like crap.

Love those old trucks too!

That sounds very similar to our copper non stick pan w/ the grate.

The T-Fal model I have is about the same size of the DeLonghi. They make smaller sizes, but none that dismantle for the dishwasher like the one at the link. I don’t know why they stopped making the one I have. It worked great, and was so easy to clean. I live alone, so the EZ model they have now is too big for me. I have an air fryer, but never use it.

I’ve never tried fried air! Must be very low in fat, calories, and everything else.

One of these days I’ll have to stick my remote temperature sensor in there to discern its operating temperature at particular times.

It’s the only thing I don’t like, but I’m a griller/smoker, so ‘shotgun cooking’ of simple foods is old hat :)

I do miss my full size convection oven, but obviously it was too big for fries/etc. Looking forward to the kitchen remodel, perhaps next year.

$8.50/$10.50 shipping for me which is worth it since that and any store like it is 150 mile round trip for us.

No gators, yeah, ahh no. PJ get a good flashlight on go out tonight. Shine the light across the water until you see some glowing red eyes. That’s a gator! They tend to hide out during the day and like to hunt at night.
