The president, VP, senators and reps can be tried and convicted of all the crimes they committed involving the coup once they have been impeached and then convicted by the Senate. We now know that can happen quickly per Trump’s second impeachment - no lengthy 3 months of hearings and thoughtful musings on disturbing incidents. But that would make Pelosi president per the Constitution - that pesky thing always rears its ugly head. If Pelosi is removed in the process, then Sec of State Blinken becomes president, so it can get worse.
Sheesh! What a horrible mess! Doesn’t appear options would prove the least bit better. Only escape then is 2024 election and the Dems primary goal is to secure that by any means.
There is no provision in our Constitution for impeachment, (or recall,) of Congress Critters.
They can only be removed by a vote of members in their respective house. Figure the odds of any Congress Critter voting to remove one of their own.
