Yes, Thalidomide resulted in lost limbs, fingers, legs, and arms.
My daughter's best friend and college roommate was a Thalidomide child,
who has no forearm, hand, or fingers on one arm which ends above the elbow.
She made the best of her situation, and is now a bonafide teacher, and a successful mother.
On the other hand (no pun intended), the results of DES remained pretty much unknown
until after the children reached the age of fertility (some 18 years later, and beyond).
