For nearly 67 years, Enbridge has moved oil and natural gas from western Canada through Michigan and the Great Lakes to refineries in the province of Ontario.
But Michigan says that one section to the pipeline – Line 5 – is too risky to continue operating.
In November, the Michigan governor, Gretchen Whitmer, announced a plan to revoke the easement granted to Enbridge, which permits Line 5 to cross under the Straits of Mackinac. Whitmer set 12 May as the deadline for the Canadian energy giant to shut down the pipeline.
Does the Michigan State Constitution allow recall?
There was talk about impeachment but I imagine they counted state senate noses and realized they didn’t have the numbers.

I'm so glad I divorced more than 4 years ago now and no longer own my hunting camp in Michigan's upper penninsula. This b*tch and her ilk aren't getting any more money from me.
It supplies over 90% of the L-P in the UP of Michigan. All of it goes for home heating/use. Some of it goes for manufacturing.
What stated this BS is some shipping company from Escanaba dragged their GD anchor over that pipeline at the straits. It bent the heck out of it but did not cause any leak.
They (oil company) is suing the shit out of that shipping company.
The Colonial ppl goes through and had terminals in Alabama.

Escanaba has been a loading port for iron ore pellets and a discharge port for coal.
There are a couple there. They all have barges. T barges where they cut a V out of the back of the ship and drive the tugs up in there to push them.
