Obviously you have never served on a protective service detail. First off, PSD teams wear gloves with finger cut outs for tactile feedback. The purpose of the gloves is when in a stress fire situation the adrenaline will nearly always cause the hands and palms to sweat. The gloves keep that sweat from compromising the grip on your duty weapon. Second off every PSD detail has an outer and inner security quardon. Should the inner barrier be breached deadly force is immediately authorized. The capital building much like the Pentagon has secure locations and most importantly secured individuals. Those individuals are protected to the same level as POTUS or the Supremes they are a co equal branch of government. Breaching the inner doors that were barricaded shut giving any reasonable person advance warning that breaching them would be a hostile act is all the legal standing the PSD team needed to open up on any and everyone coming through those breach points. It is amazing it was not a blood bath. I would have opened up with automatic MP5SD fire on the first person in raw breaching my inner security barrier. The DOJ found the same conclusion the barricades were all the legal standing the protective detail needed to forewarn any individual that crossing that barrier would be considered hostile. Ask yourself this if Donald was behind those doors and people broke down not only the door but the barricades behind them to enter would you expect secret service to not fire on the first person through that breach. Of course not and neither should it be different for congressmen they are protected to the same standard period. You don’t have to like it but this was a text book example of making stupid choices getting stupid out comes the DOJ found correctly the same conclusion it’s not a conspiracy it’s letter of the law how things work when protecting high value principles.

It seems kind of strange to me when other folks used battering rams to try to break down doors the police used what looks like tear gas to discourage them. I guess the one agent who killed an unarmed woman didn’t have access to that kind of protection. Did any of the people standing with the unarmed woman have weapons?

Also referring to your comment: “Obviously you have never served on a protective service detail.”
Are you speaking from experience? Also:
“I would have opened up with automatic MP5SD fire on the first person in raw breaching my inner security barrier.”

Really?

So from the info that is available “The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security wrote detailed threat assessments before Black Lives Matter demonstrations last summer, but offered only general warnings before the events on Jan. 6. “

Also why did this happen?:

“Ex-Capitol Police Chief Says Requests For National Guard Denied 6 Times In Riots”

So my last question is did the alleged US intelligence agencies know what was planned and did nothing to prevent it?

You're cracked!   Ashli Babbitt was standing there among police officers on her side of the barrier, doing nothing to stop the attempt to get through a door.   That is the most grievous instance of entrapment ever seen, if this was such a dire instance of a supposedly "understood" secure location requiring deadly force to protect.   This is The Capitol Building belonging to us all, not some supermax prison or fortified gold reserve.   In past generations civilians could come and go as they pleased at the Capitol.

Here's one for you.   Only twenty years ago, I walked in the front doors of the Georgia Capitol and even was allowed to go to my Representative's seat on the floor in session to get something from him.   These guys work for us and should not be allowed to kill us at will or whim.

Well aren't you just a charming fascist.

If Shooter Steve truly feared for his life or the gaggle of other security at the other end of the hallway, completely non-plussed about the events happening at the doors (or did you miss that in the video? of course), why didn't Shooter Steve open up on the guy right behind Ashli, or the herd at the doors?
