This was a 13 yo kid out on the streets at 2 am with a 21 yo male, both in possession of handguns — which are illegal in Chitcago — and they were running from the cops. They obviously weren’t selling GS cookies, FFS!

Who cares if the kid was armed at the particular split second the cop pulled the trigger? Put the onus on the piss poor judgment of this stupid kid and his handler who should have known that this wouldn’t end well instead of on the fallible human cop who is being paid to risk his/her life every day patrolling the streets to keep us safe.

I’m so sick of ppl on here demanding perfection out of LE 24/7 and giving obvious criminals every benefit of the doubt. Don’t wanna get shot in Chicago? Then stay home and don’t engage in criminal behavior in the middle of the night!
