I don’t think anyone would have been listening if they did, but they were stonewalled at every opportunity. They should have been ready for this before the election and they weren’t.
The only victory in uncovering fraud now is to fix things so voting maybe matters again. Otherwise, thinking it would overturn the election is akin to the birthers believing that if they just proved Obama wasn’t eligible, he would be bounced out. Not gonna happen.
Trump knew he could get many, many more votes than before. I think he thought at over 70 m votes he’d be impossible to beat. The old NFL offense vs. defense. So he put his time, effort, and money into getting more votes.
In retrospect it’s easy to say “they should have known.” But in the perspective of early 2020, I think ANY analyst on ANY side of the spectrum would have said, “If Trump gets 10m more votes than in 2016, he wins easily.”
