The last RC I tried didn’t taste right.

IMO, none of the ‘cola’ drinks taste like they used to when I was growing up (some decades ago). I quit drinking any soft drinks ... went from regular to diet to get away from sugar, then had a really bad reaction to both aspartame (vertigo) & Splenda (killed enough good gut bacteria I was messed up for 6 months). No soft drinks of any kind for me - don’t miss them, either.

They were reformulated numerous times over the decades, corn syrup being the most significant.

The company that brought you New Coke is now trying to sell you New Woke.

I’ve thought that too, but maybe it’s because our taste sensors have changed. But as someone else said, maybe it’s because they’ve changed the recipe.

I’ve heard that there’s a Mexican version of Coke (or a cola) that still uses cane sugar and tastes better.
