Upon review, you assume that ballots resulted from same day registration. There should be a registration form on Election Day, right? Otherwise, these are just illegal or fraudulent ballots. When they do the statistical analysis of such voters, frequently unique surnames are found, and common names like "Johnson" or "Smith" are statistically underrepresented.

Upon review, you assume that ballots resulted from same day registration I'm making no assumption at all. It is the author who completely ignored the issue of same day registration, thereby assuming that not a single person same day regustered and voted, which is legal under Michigan law.
I have no idea how many people same day registered and voted. I am just saying that you can't ignore the possibility, which is what the author did.
