Very odd that two officers committed suicide over this kerfuffle...

So far the reasons for their suicide are not understood, and may have nothing to do with the events of Jan 6. For all anyone knows the reasons could include being jilted, gambling debt, stress and depression from years of policing, a crisis of faith, etc. Unfortunately cops do have a higher than average suicide rate.
