You're missing the important part. That difference happened over 6 weeks while the vaccinated people were building immunity.
At the end of that period there were no more new hospitalizations in the vaccinated group while in the other group they would continue to grow unabated. Over time the difference would be thousands and eventually tens of thousands.
I agree this would be a lot of fuss for a 6 week pandemic, but that isn't what we have.
The point is that Covid is a low risk disease, especially for under 65 and not obese. The need for these “vaccines” is a lie.
So, I’m not concerned with how the vaccinated group did.
Also, to your final point, the unvaccinated people are not sitting around waiting to be hospitalized. They gain immunity, some by having the almost-always mild symptoms, some by T-cell. The virus was already winding down in this manner. Meanwhile, the vaccinated will think they require boosters for years, apparently.
