Look at the trials reports on severe symptoms. The number of instances are more for placebo, but both arms are minuscule.

"... no cases of severe COVID‑19 were reported in the Moderna COVID‑19 Vaccine group compared with 30 cases reported in the placebo group."

0 is miniscule, 30 isn't.

I don’t know how many were enrolled in that particular trial, but if it is close to the 30,000 that I have read about then 30 is pretty miniscule. Of course a lot more information needs to be looked at but on the surface you could argue that 30 out of 15,000 is just statistical noise.

Pfizer found 9 out of 21,500 severes. Minuscule.
