On Thursday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Cuomo Primetime,” White House Chief Medical Adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci stated that “the more data we get, the more we see that if you’re vaccinated, the chances are that you won’t get an asymptomatic infection, or if you do, the level of virus in your nasopharynx will be considerably less, that it is likely you won’t infect anybody.”

For one thing, I’m claiming that getting two, almost painless, shots is much better than suffering for up to two weeks with the virus. Get the vaccine and the chances are very small that you’ll spend time in the hospital. Then, there are the ‘long haulers’ who are still suffering from the virus months later.
Get treated with prophylactics early in the disease and chances are very small you will need to spend time in the hospital.
And then there are all those people who are suffering from side effects, up to and including death, from the vaccine.
You can never build a solid case that an rushed, mostly experimental, relatively untested especially for long term effects, injectable treatment is preferable to conservative, common sense, inexpensive, safe use of medication.
And if it should happen to not work for someone, they are no worse off than if they hadn’t tried it.
And you want to lower death rates?
Keep sick people out of nursing homes and lose weight.
