Do you think I could go into a local smoke/vape shop and get a good starter kit there? Or is do it yourself better?
It'd be cheaper to do it yourself. Plus, you have more options online than you would at a vape shop.
This forum has tons of information on anything vape related.
There's also the YouTube option.

Amazon also sells pre-made coils that are really cheap.

Sorry for continuously bugging you, but I had to run some errands and thought of a bit more information that might be useful.
Considering that the vape product shipping ban is coming in April, I would highly suggest that you get the box mod (Aegis Solo) and a couple of RTAs (Hellvape Rebirth RTA) from the links above.
I say, "A couple," because the tank is encased in glass.
If that breaks from accidentally dropping it, you're stuck with a useless piece of stainless steel until I can find a vendor that sells RTA parts, and send you a link.
Also, get a large bottle of nicotine from either
the link above or one of the vendors listed in
this link.There is
an online calculator that can determine how long a bottle of nicotine will last for someone vaping a certain milligram percentile of fluid.
According to it, I have 1500 milliliters of nicotine, which should last me 3 years.
All of the other supplies aren't DIRECTLY related to vaping, so hopefully they'll still be available....until the obnoxious nannies figure it all out.
