I do think it is possible. He also does have a stutter issue.
People who are not and never have been ‘readers’ don’t do well in organizing thoughts or in delivering their thoughts
They ‘marble mouth’ stuff that they think will sort of approximate what they mean and they think that listeners don’t notice it.
Not being well read, the don’t ‘get’ the glaring tell tale sign that they are just fudging all along.
I had a professor who could barely speak English and he used to do that ... it was very apparent he had not read widely in English
