I think it was fine, the dog was inside. The guy in the story said he was taking care of it.

Leaving a pet alone (even with a guard checking in)in those temperatures is UNFORGIVABLE.

A couple nights ago it was -16 here and there were still dogs outside barking. Seeing as how there are still animals alive outside... pretty sure his dog was ok inside.

Give me a break. Even without electricity, his house would have been at a minimum in the 40’s. There are plenty of dogs in people’s back yards around me doing fine and it is in the 20’s.
