Sen. Ted Cruz is in the doghouse with some critics who blasted him for reportedly leaving his pet pooch, Snowflake, at home amid freezing temps — as he and the rest of the family jetted off to Cancun, Mexico.
The Republican lawmaker has claimed in the wake of public outrage that he was merely escorting his pre-teen daughters on their trip with friends — noting that, like millions of his fellow Texans, his family had lost heat and water.

I leave my dog at home when I vacation. The neighbor walks him and feeds him.
Of course you do! It’s fine to do so! So do I! It would never even occur to me to take a dog on vacation! Your obligation is to make sure your pet is cared for. Is your dog depressed while you’re gone? Probably. But Jeez, it’s a dog — not a child!

I think he probably wants to run for president again but I don’t think that would go well for him.
Depends entirely on their feeding and watering devices. I once had a feeding box that I could put 25 lbs of dog food in. There is the same for watering. That would keep the dog for 2 weeks. They were in a kennel on concrete, so it worked just fine. We generally were gone only 3 to 7 days.
A lot cheaper than a paid kennel at 28 per night.

Imagine if Cruz strapped the poodle to the roof of his car like Romney likes to do.
Yes the lesson in this situation is going straight over the heads of the CruzBots. This is a plain and simple example of the “Trump Curse”... what happens to those on our side who stab President Trump in the back. Ted had no plans to do anything at all to help his fellow Texans and since he is not a true leader had no ability to do anything to help his fellow Texans. I doubt that he has the ability to fix a leaky faucet in his own home. But he has served an important purpose with his ham handed buffoonery by providing an example to others Republicans who are suppose to be on our side. If you stab President Trump in the back the media will not love you... they will still pull something like this on you a week later.
I am sure someone was taking care of the dog, by the way when was that picture of the dog actually taken.

I agree with everything you wrote. Sad, but the left are united whilst conservatives eat their own. If the Texas governor had left I could understand the outrage, but Ted has no control over any of this and it is more faux outrage from the media.
