Despite some GOP lawmakers doing their best to distance themselves from former President Donald Trump, a vast majority of Republican voters want to see him play a big role in the future of the party, including running again in 2024.
In fact, 53 percent want to see him run again during the next presidential cycle, far outpacing his second closest challenger in former Vice President Mike Pence at 12 percent.
This, according to a Politico/Morning Consult survey, which also shows the former president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., at 6 percent, tied with former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley.
Senators Ted Cruz (TX) and Marco Rubio (FL) trail far behind at 4 and 2 percent respectively, followed by Tom Cotton (AR), Josh Hawley (MO), and Tom Scott (SC) each at 1 percent.

Maybe the people who like DeSantis and Noem are picking Trump first and DeSantis or Noem only if Trump doesn’t win. It would be interesting to see who people pick if Trump isn’t one of the choices.
Personally, I’d like to see Trump run again, perhaps with Noem as VP (so long as she’s solid on all the most important issues, which I’m not sure of yet). I’d like DeSantis to have a second term as FL governor, and then run for pres later on. He does seem to be the most likely successor as the leader of Trump’s movement that I’ve seen. If Trump doesn’t run in 2024, though, I’d be more than happy supporting DeSantis if he did want to run.
Correction; America needs Trump in 2024.
Pence? Really?
At this point, my faves for the ticket would include Pence, Cruz, Noem, and Hawley, and maybe DeSantis.

First off Trump won by a landslide this time. The cheating will be much worse next time. If there even is a next time.
Biden is going to end us before then.
