It was a LONG PLANNED family vacation. His daughters are 12 and 10. Just maybe he traveled with his family to get them situated and was returning after that was accomplished.
ONLY Complete fakes and phonies on FR wouldn’t consider doing the same thing.
Besides what is he going to do RIGHT NOW to help? Should he move to an ill-prepared house and sit in freezing conditions to empathize? Should he go to the power stations and ask if he can help? THE MESSAGE of complete reliance on “DADDY and MOMMY” Big Government is appalling.

People that have a mindset of self-reliance, turn off the water at the house, open facets, drain pipes that can freeze if power if off for a day or two, fill containers with water to flush toilets, fill up on gas if pumps may be out for a few days, get some staple foods that don't need to be cooked, move food from a warming refrig into a sub freezing garage space,... So many easily doable things, but the non thinking, no self-reliance, mindset of a BIG NANNY STATE MOMMY LOVING type just sits by helpless, waiting for MOMMY to do everything for them.
Is it a long planned vacation as this article states, or a last minute decision following school cancellation as his public statement says?
