Yes. The first time I read C.S. Lewis's That Hideous Strength, I thought it was grotesquely overblown, that people couldn't be so openly and consciously evil. In the last few years, I've come to think Lewis was a prophet, except that maybe his characters weren't grotesque and blatant enough.

Yeah I have got to read that again to bet an idea of what to expect going forward. Thanks for reminding me, and yep, you woj,would, think people couldn’t be that evil, but sadly there are examples all over the world of it.

Oh yeah, I think of that book often these days. Truly scary, what’s happening in our country. Engineered riots, just like in the book. Deep connections with devil worship, just like in the book.
