She got into trouble with the law for harassing Babbitt’s ex-girlfriend in the summer of 2016 and separated from the Guard in the fall of that year.

I believe (but haven't found evidence) that is why she separated as a SrA (E4) after a combined 12 year career on active duty and Guard. She should have been at least a SSgt (E5) if not a TSgt (E6) after that length of time.

I, too, suspected her separation from the AF had something to do with her troubles with the law, but who knows. Perhaps there was a demotion also, but according to this icky tabloidy source: “But discipline issues and insubordination stunted her career, said two former airmen who served with her. She was demoted at least once, they said.”
