I was never really a full-on prepper. Always thought that the farm land in Texas was more of a real estate play, even though it’s set up for SHTF. Well, time to get real.
One thing I’ve neglected is the well pump. It’s only 2 hp, but draws 12 amps at 208 volts (and more at startup). If diesel deliveries are unreliable, that turns into about $10,00 bucks worth of solar panels and batterie if I want to run it when the sun isn’t shining. Which I do.
Also need to learn how to make my own primers as well, I guess.
