You do what you want. If you can live with financing the enemy that’s your decision. My decision is I will buy direct and American made. Your decision is whatever you can live with.
Like I said, I’ll buy American and I’ll buy direct. But shipping for me is 5 to 10x what Amazon charges to the Philippines (Amazon doesn’t declare real customs values, they are so big, customs looks the other way).
Bought a pair of New Balance baseball shoes through Amazon. $80 with $10 shipping and customs. Got them in a week, no problems.
Wanted a second pair, Amazon out of stock. Went direct. Same price, higher shipping. Got a customs hold. Never got the shoes. They wanted $60 in import duties.
