For those who are keeping tabs... my uncle just called, cousin in the Coast Guard called to active duty around noontime in Jville, FL. Be on base in 4h was the order.
Anyone else seeing family pulled into active duty?

I know a PA who’s been called up to National Guard duty in DC. Alabama unit. I don’t really know him, but I know his wife. My guess is that he’s not a communist. But he’s not likely to shoot at peaceful protesters either. He will bandage all the wounded though.

Middle of last week a sister of a man that is active duty Special Forces got a call from her brother. He told her “Make sure you got a few extra days food and fill up a bath tub. Something big IS happening between the 17th and 19th.”
My take on the call was that the “something big” is the DC lock down that started last Thursday and is going on for however long our masters feel unsafe... (so forever).
We were given about 12hr notice on Friday night. But we’re just driving gear in for some other units, not staying for the festivities. Luckily.
