Parler backed themself into a corner by leveraging Amazon’s cloud. My understanding is they wrote their back end database using Amazon’s Redshift cloud database product. Moving their site isn’t just relocating the content, which would be much easier if they used industry standard database products. Since they are using Amazon’s proprietary database, it requires a lot of rewriting, which complicates things.
