Does it have a manual safety. I love glock but no manual safety makes me worried about carrying with one in the chamber.

It has a grip safety similar to the 1911 but no manual safety.

I’ve carried one for 20 years.

Pull the trigger, and it goes bang. Keep your finger off the trigger, and it won’t go bang. Use a holster which keeps the trigger covered, and you’ll be fine.

I carry with one racked, but only to my rear at about 5:00. I won't carry it appendix, even though I'm fairly comfortable with it's safety.

A lot of negligent discharges occur during re-holstering. I figure, if the gun's out, it's out for a reason, and it likely won't be re-holstered casually.
