Good move. I killed mine last night, not that I was at all active.
The Twitter board basically put CEO Jack Dorsey on an employee improvement program back in November.

It remains to be seen how serious they were. They are seeing some huge member loss.
*Deactivating* will remove the link to parler. He is doing it the right way.

I just deactivated mine. Never really used it much - only when some other post pointed me at something on twiddle-dee-dum. I won’t miss it.
I never had a Twitter account. But I would read the Tweets of folks like James Woods, Julia Song, Tina Forte, etc. on line. Today I joined Parler and am following Mark Levin. There is going to be a social media sea change. Twitter only exists despite its quarterly losses and very occasional meager gains because it is a so-called growth stock. It’s growth is over.
Never been on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
Whatever happened to Gab? It was supposed to be the conservative alternative to Twitter at one time.
When I tried (just now) it sent me an “oops, something went wrong” message.
Deactivated mine this morning. Looks like they hold name... in reserve for 30 days to allow one to reactivate and have account still work with name and all. Don’t know if this will cause a delay in them reporting how many have left as the bean counters likely will justify reporting deactivated accounts until truly gone after the 30 day period. If there is not news announcing the loss of millions of users in the next few days that will likely be the case and next month it will crash.

I was able to deactivate by going to Twitter.com on my browser.

FB and Twitter are GONE as of this morning. I feel lighter already.

It seems a bit intrusive that rumble wants to know my street address. Why? I can only imagine how that could end up in the wrong hands.
No way in hell they get that.

Okay, I left the address information blank and I successfully registered. My pity the fool that acts like a sheep and fills that out.
