I wish I could find the meme that says "45 auto is superior to 9mm"
Which is true.
"But 17 rounds of 9mm is superior 7 rounds of 45 auto"
Which is also true. XD

My Sig P320 RX has all the advantages of the Glock 19, with great optics and after market trigger.

I love mine. So much I bought the 17 model also.

I had a G19 for years (gen 3) but never could train myself into shooting it as well as I shot S&W 9x19 pistols. I could put 10 mags through the Glock, put another mag through it into a clean target, then pick up my wife's S&W "cold" and put one mag through it into a clean target and it would be better than my well-practiced Glock target...sigh And with a little practice on the S&W? Forget about it...
The thing is, I really like the Glock, nearly fanboy level. But the practical side of me says "If you do something (shoot, drive, cook, whatever) better with certain equipment, you should be using that equipment." The problem is all me, I still love the Glock (gave it to my son) but I now carry a S&W M&P Shield.

IMHO the Glock 19 is the best all-around handgun available today. Like the watch commercial from long ago boasted: It keeps right on ticking.

I bought a G-19 last week. Shot my buddy’s G-17 and loved it. The 19 is like the 17 with just a slightly smaller frame and easier to conceal carry.

Caleb Larson, a defense journalist based in Europe and holds a Master of Public Policy degree from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy. He lives in Berlin and writes on U.S. and Russian foreign and defense policy, German politics and culture. This article is based on nothing more than what could be found on a two paragraph Wikipedia page. No USN personnel appear to have been interviewed, and the European author has likely never been in the same room with a firearm. Pure drivel.
