Now you’ve got me wanting to see the tweet again. I thought it said the penalties above should take place if Pence didn’t allow the objections on the 6th. I don’t get that either since objections are just part of the procedure and fairly common (2001, 2005, 2017). They didn’t change the outcome, but they took place.

Honestly, I don't know what to make of Wood's statement other than he's very upset about something that involves the VP. I hope we soon get to the bottom of these intrigues. It's not how a republic form of government should conduct itself.

Cool heads are indeed more effective than those driven by emotion. Wood's words convey frustration and a sense that they are losing the fight. What I think is that he and others see VP Pence as one of the reasons for that failure, and they're probably right.

There comes the point when courts and politicians are useless. I wonder if we're getting there, unfortunately.
