I can understand wanting to have your entire drive to be SSD, but really, that is a bit of a waste of money, as the bigger SSD drives tend to be fairly expensive.
You're better off getting a 250-500GB SSD for your boot partitions, and using a standard drive for your data, because it's not your individual files and such that are really slowing you down. If you want, splurge on a 10K RPM drive for your data. You'll still get more bang for your buck.
Would also recommend booting into Linux and using VMWare or something similar for Winblows if you can.
My desktop has a 128gb SSD boot drive, and a 4TB hard disk.
I've never heard of a 10K laptop drive. Who makes them?
