That was the Wiemar Republic, a wheel barrow full of cash for a loaf of ersatz bread. Hitler and the Nazis turned that around, people had food again and would follow the Nazis anywhere they went rather then be hungry again. I remember an old news reel that showed a picnic table in the country loaded with food of all types, people no longer starving, the message being, look what the Nazi Party did for you. Thing is if I remember correctly, the people in the rural areas were not eating ersatz bread (flour and sawdust) they had food. It was the cities where people were starving and eating ersatz bread and sausage. If history holds true to form this is where we are headed. How it manifests itself in the USA will be interesting. Will the whole country be starving over worthless money and no produce. Or will it only be Blue urban areas as Red rural areas horde their food stuffs. Will foreign countries sell to the USA if our money is over burden my a massive debt held by China and Russia? We get a lot of our food from other countries now.
There was one big difference with the comparison though.
The general population in Germany was unarmed. We are not.
Although like you, I see hyper inflation coming, it will result in an out and out revolution. Or at least it should.
Before that all happens though. I suspect we will see secession and I really expect to see the “red” States split off. That will take away the important commodities away from the scum blue states.
The only “blue” states that might have any chance at all of survival would be the great lakes states, and I doubt they’ll even survive, although they would have some food production capabilities. Problem is, they will strangle that with their obnoxious eco laws.
That is how dumb these commies are, they will starves before they let go of their control.
