I disagree. My wife is from Taiwan. Over all he hates thwe chinese government as they want to take over Taiwan.
We do know a lot of the spa girls. Mort are good honest people who want to make a living. NO Yellow Color spas around here. Some have marred white guys to get a Green Card and become citizens. These girls hate the chinese government. They work hard and save their money. None we know of are on any kind of welfare.
I’m sure there are some bad ones, mainly in the cities. The girls we know came out west to make a living. We are friends with some of the married couples.
Your wife is from Taiwan, not China. It ain’t the same no matter what Peking tells you. All Chinese nationals are subject to pressure from the Chinese intelligence orgs and those with any type of position to provide information about the population or politics or tech gets pressured and blaackmailed if not willing.
