I am not a lawyer, but from what I have read and heard, this is what’s known as an Equal Protection case and, as such, stands a pretty good chance . . . if SCOTUS agrees to hear it. That last “if” is a big deal.
Don’t tell anybody, but it is also a predicate for.....
