Bartending is a physically difficult working-class job? Who knew carrying a drink tray was just like lugging a bundle of asphalt shingles up a ladder in 90 degree weather. Or pouring drinks was just like carrying a 60 pound sheet of drywall.
Agreed on roofing and construction ... DS 1 has started a construction job. It’s tough but he likes it.
As a 50-something farm wife ... crying in the walk-in fridge sounds heavenly comparing to baling hay in 90-degree heat ... or milking cows in heat and humidity so high that the flies are swarming to get OUT of the cow barn.
That said, I don’t see how anything could compare to being in combat. Hats off to veterans.
