Actually, the founding fathers idea carried to its furthest wouldn’t allow anyone working for the government to vote. They could be swayed by their employer. Tax payers at home paying for the war machine shall always have a vote, else what is the point?
We are not suppose to be a democracy. If we had an state level electoral system the democrats would almost never be elected.
Having land owners,ie: farmers and ranchers having a more heavily weighted vote would help keep the gimmiethats from coming close in most elections.
