We are on the border between Essential and Non-essential.

We are a custom printing and embroidery company. Mom and pop. One part time employee who is 25 feet from any other worker. We are selling masks and have produced embroidered lab coats and scrubs for hospitals. On some lists we are non-essential and should be closed. On other lists we should be allowed to operate a a reduced capacity. On still other lists they indicate that because we supply essential businesses, we can stay open.

No one can give us a straight answer.

So for now we are operating, but customers are not allowed in our facility. We are taking orders out to customers’ cars.

All it takes is one asshat to report us and POOF we’re gone.

Yup. A buddy of mine is a safety officer where he works and he now has to be Mr. Bad Guy enforcing STRICT mask adherence because some disgruntled POS called OSHA for a minor infraction. Now he’s tasked with constant “Mask up or march out!” to the workers from his bosses. Be careful.
