This waste of human flesh was a piece of work long before he was a POW. Of all the POW’s from that war, he is the only one that has a statue in his honor in Hanoi. I seriously doubt a poor tortured soul would warrant this. On the other hand, a canary that sings sweet tunes would likely be rewarded.

In 1973 we briefly met a returned POW who later wrote a book about his experiences.
He was a cellmate of McCain for a time, and in his book he said that he liked McCain and had nothing negative to say about him.
His only criticism of McCain was that he had to warn McCain about talking tough about the North Vietnamese in case they overheard. He said McCain certainly endured torture just like everyone else there.
It seems that McCain only became a treacherous jerk after he was released.

John McCain was a POS his whole life, from the moment he slipped from between his mothers legs to the minute his heart stopped beating. It most likely stemmed from his feelings of inadequacy every time he looked in the mirror and compared himself to his father and grandfather.
Unfortunately the 2 Republican candidates are better than the two Dems. We need to primary RINOs in 2022. In 2022, the Senate will behaving more Dems defending their Senate seats, so we should pick up a few seats.
It’s almost impossible to primary a Senator. And only 1/3 are even on the ballot each election. Cornyn and Graham aren’t up for 6 years.
The GOP Senate escalated their assaults on us by supporting the coup against a GOP POTUS for 4 years. The question is will the GOP base respond or surrender?
