I dumped CNN in 1992! Why, because during the Gulf War a group of us low lifes went to the Dhahran Hotel for lunch. We had completed our flight schedule for the day and had just finished a brief on the next days missions and what to expect. A little greasy and tired (16 hour days) we grabbed a booth. Sitting in an adjoining booth were two CNN reporters. One said so and so in Jubal said he thinks that we may do.....the other says well I spoke to so and so in Riyadh and he said he heard from somebody close to a friend of a friend at HQ that the coalition will do.....It was hilarious, they were both full of $hit. We knew they were wrong. I was stunned when that nite on CNN the idiot reporter was on TV reporting the BS as news. Side note while passing thru Amsterdam from Saudi, (Visa issue) I met a technical guy for CNN. When I returned he took me and my future wife to the conference room where CNN worked at the Dhahran Hotel, it was kinda cool to see that. Guys name was Plante, smart as a whip, he left CNN and seems to be doing real well in DC.
That should be a concern, not a compliment.
