You should read/reread the first few chapters of Gulag Archipelago.
The show of force was/is necessary to instill fear in the populace in general.
Unfortunately a mouse click or two to cut you off from money does not accomplish that.
I’m really hoping that what they are doing now(censorship, lists, and all of it)is some sort of extinction burst before this stuff is finally straightened out.
There are people in other countries who are afraid of what’s happening here. That’s a first. :(
Is Gulag Archipeligo the one where they talked about quotas and people with a grudge turning in their neighbors? I think I read that a long time ago.
