In rational times, the idea of a major presidential campaign grinding almost to a halt in the final week before an election would be considered as an example of a collapse or at least a major cause of concern over that candidate. This would apply doubly if that candidate's physical and mental stamina had been questioned. However, in the bizarro world of the 2020 campaign, this is being hilariously spun by Politico as a brilliant move on the part of the Joe Biden campaign.
Yes, no cause for concern at all. In fact, according to Politico this campaign slowdown just when the pace of campaigning should be picking up is really because "Biden flips script on Trump in campaign’s final week."

Hillary’s last week or so of action was also like this. She cancelled her DC fireworks show as part of that. Presumably she was being thrifty, save her money/steal her money...whatever these crooks do with unspent campaign money?
Well, think how much money Biden is saving by not competing against Trump’s very aggressive campaigning? What Trump is doing, that must cost mucho dinero??
The excuse that Biden’s on a comfortable lead is laughable in light of recent polls that have all a sudden made a massive switch to Trump.
Toss in new articles meant to alert the losers to show up for rioting and looting asap...you can figure that Trump at this point has an insurmountable lead.
Yesterday, I think it was Lauran Ingraham’s show but a guest was opining that mass turnout is usually about people working against something. I think he was trying to suggest working against Trump. But who’s WORKING hard? Trump and his supporters are.
If Trump loses, which I find highly unlikely, it will be rather remarkable that the candidate that worked the hardest, had a track record, over 50% approval, somehow managed to lose his re election. We all know it can happen only one way, through voter fraud.
McCain literally left the campaign the last month of 08.

In this case, its kind of true. If Joe is hiding in the basement, there’s no chance that he’ll say something else idiotic that Trump can use against him.
The only real campaign for Biden is the one run by the media. Hiding in your basement, refusing to answer hard questions, speaking in empty parking lots, cornfields, and echoing empty halls is not a real campaign. I have noticed that the media always tries to equate Biden's tiny events to Trump's massive events, they just don't report the numbers at either one.
Yeah, like hastily scheduling an incoherent speech in Chester, PA was really part of some strategy.
After the last debate, the DNC knows that the more the public sees Biden, the less they like him. He also has no filter and the more public appearances he makes the more likely he is to say...well...the truth about their plans. Makes perfect sense that they want to keep him hidden. In addition, they know that the media will do the job for them and the negative reporting about Trump will steadily intensify, if that is possible, the closer we get to election day. They’re hoping that people will be so focused on Trump “negatives” that they won’t notice that Biden has been absent. I think they same will happen with Harris. The more she’s seen in public the more people realize what a nasty hateful person she is.
Thomas Dewey lost to Harry Truman in an upset in 1948 despite his comfortable lead in the polls. Dewey, the darling of the intelligentsia, coasted against an embattled populist incumbent who campaigned vigorously on his whistle-stop tour. The election dynamics today are remarkably similar.
