Roberts might as well shout I HATE TRUMP AND WILL NEVER RULE IN HIS FAVOR.

If it’s true he’s contradicting his previous rulings and opinions, he’s ruining his reputation. OK by me.

Contention will be coming soon to the SC. Barrett will swing rulings against Roberts, and he’ll try to pressure Gorsuch / Kavanagh.

Does anyone recall the circumstances when Bush 43 not only appointed Roberts to the court but to the Chief Justice position. Was it a Chief that was replaced ?

Chief Justice is a separate office and is appointed by the President. Roberts replaced C.J. Rehnquist, for whom he clerked.

Many state S.C.'s have a system where the Justices elect their Chief, but not the USSC.
