I’m sick of the Bushes and if they never got anywhere near public office again, it’d be too soon as far as I’m concerned... BUT Meg McCain’s trash talking here is out of bounds. I seriously doubt that Bush 43 or Karl Rove or anyone from their campaign ever smeared the McCains’ adopted kid. NOt their style and no convincing evidence that this ever happened. Bogus accusation.

I’m old enough to remember when it was widely claimed - at the time - that Rove was behind it. I have no independent evidence that he was - but no reason to believe he wasn’t . I have no special respect for the character of Rove or his boss, W. For a team that had no problem with launching a devastating invasion and never-ending war and occupation based on WMD lies, smearing a rival primary candidate is child’s play.
