Democrat candidate for president, Joe Biden, suggests that no privately funded charter school will receive federal funding. However, Joe Biden should know one thing - that charter schools are actually public schools and they use federal money from the school district budget - at least that's what they do here. A privately funded school is typically called a "private school" hence the name.
Here's what Joe Biden said, followed by commentary:
"I will not there will be no federal dollars Im not Betsy DeVos nor will my, my Secretary of Education be anything like her in terms of her attitudes about public schools. No privately funded charter school will receive or private charter school will receive a penny of federal money. None."

School taxes are theft.
Biden was the tail of the dog for 8 years.
He still hasn’t found out where the head of the dog was for those 8 years.
On the bright side some of those kids your money educated are writing and filling your prescriptions, designing the bridges you travel over and even making your Free Republic experience faster.
Some see it as Its for educating our young, whether theyre our offspring or not.
Can we do something about the quality and content? Avoiding Marxism, for instance.
Nothing to lose sleep over here.
I almost feel sorry for Joe. Dementia and incontinence will prevent him from any debates and everybody knows that a vote for Joe is a vote for a bat guano crazy half Jamaican half Indian female communist.
Private schools shouldn’t take public funds. The minute they do, they’re beholden to the feds. Give the funds to the parents and let them spend them the way they see fit for educating their kids.
What he really said to minority students in crap schools "you will remain in crap schools."
If you want to cure public education the answer is very simple. Give the parents a voucher equal to public funding of education. They can spend the voucher where they please. Parents will choose wisely. They can even spend it at a public school if they desire. They will not. Many public school campuses would be up for sale at very nominal price. The private schools would buy them and then offer superior education.
I sent my son to a Catholic school not due to religion but the fact that school had high standards. Oddly it was the worst funded school in our town. It consistently turned out the best students. Even more oddly was the number of non Catholic students in the school. Those non Catholic parents just wanted their kids to go to a good school.
