Yeah, except that Trump would be instantly impeached and likely removed by the coalition of 100% democrats, and the globalist/neocon wing of the Republicans.
In reality, I estimate Trump is allowed to wield around 40% of the power a president normally has. We have never seen a president bitterly opposed by his “own” party.
Mitch for example has never allowed the Senate to recess since the day Trump was sworn in. This is to prevent his OWN party’s president from making any recess appointments.
Each promotion to general rank requires Senate confirmation. Obama had a compliant Senate.
