In the Twin Cities, Biden is running a new ad where he condemns the rioting BUT also blames the cause on Trump and his supporters.
In fact, much of the ad seems to spend time blaming all the unrest on Trump and promising that he’ll increase the level of proper discourse if he’s elected President.
I suspect he saw something in his polling number that made him believe that he had to address the unrest. But he f’d up by making it more about Trump than he did about wanting to restore law and order.
That will play will with his base but for any voters out there in the middle concerned about civil unrest, he didn’t do much to reassure them.
Trouble is for his opponents you can only cry “wolf” so many times before folks no longer pay attention. So many constant accusations have been made that his followers and a majority of the undecideds ignore the manufactured scandal of the day that only increase as the election gets closer.
A lot of people will be done with voting by mid-October, either by mailing in a ballot or early voting.
They’ve tried something different every week for months and nothing is sticking.
It sounds like the DOJ is about to launch a September surprise, and the democrats are sure not gonna like it. I believe that it starts tomorrow and goes a couple of weeks.
They’ve thrown everything big at Trump they could. He’s way too close in the polls for their comfort and are powerless to stop him.

I presume there will be at least one more rape allegation made out of whole cloth but, unfortunately for the Dems, Trump will just point to Tara Reade and all the sniffing of young girls.
Make no mistake, there WILL be new allegations that will just get more shrill with each week. But there are few true undecideds at this point.
Trump tonight said he has an ad ready to go he calls “Biden’s best” which will no-doubt be a compendium of gaffes, misstatements, things he said decades ago that now seem politically incorrect, etc. That ought to be fun.
But I would advise the President to stay positive as much as possible. He has much to offer America and can talk about this rather than staying in the gutter with Joe and Kamel-lah.
