There are plenty of racist, elitist Republicans who favor abortion because (as Justice Ginzburg delicately put it) "you need [abortion] to keep from having too many of the kind of people you don't want to have".

Barry Goldwater was a famous conservative, and was as pro-abortion as he possibly could be. (His wife worked for Planned Deadbabyhood in AZ.) Most of the Ayn Rand / Libertarian wing of conservatism thinks there's nothing wrong with abortion, and a sizeable contingent of the Country Club Republican Party thinks the same way. Why do you think Roe v. Wade is so hard to roll back?
