IIRC, He tried this with sanctuary cities and an Obama judge ordered him to fund the cities anyway. I like to attempt, but I don’t think it will work.

Seattle also has a consent decree with the DOJ regarding police reforms. This was negotiated by the then US Attorney for Western Washington Jenny Durkin. Jenny Durkin is now the mayor of Seattle. The city has been put on notice by the Federal judge who has jurisdiction to enforce the decree that they will be in violation of the decree if they cut the police funding.
So Mayor Jenny has been “trying” to push back but the commies on the city council are dug in.

I like the attempt, too. But I don’t think it should work. When you think about it, it’s not the job of the president to make (or change) policy. It’s the job of Congress. That’s what the Founders intended.
