The property of the business owner is something that he has traded a portion of his life to accumulate. His property IS his life. The arsonist is taking a portion of the owners life.

The life of the arsonist should be forfeit to protect the life that has been invested in the business.

I voted accordingly.

There was a talk-show radio host that would talk about a peron’s “life energy”. The hours of their lives that were spent to pay for taxes, stolen items, etc. This destruction IS taking part of their lives.

In many states the term “self-defense” includes one’s property.
